Experience

Independent - AI/Product Development and Consulting

Jan 2025 – present

bluesuedeshark LLC

  • Ships AI-augmented tools end to end - agent-augmented data retrieval and scoring, small internal data apps, system integrations.
  • Advising a non-technical client on standing up a personal dashboard she owns and controls, alongside a model-agnostic proof of concept.
  • Built and deployed this resume as a working Rails app, overnight.

Senior Analyst

Sep 2016 – present

Analytic Marketing Partners (AMP)

  • Builds custom segmentation and response models end to end - k-means from scratch (400%+ response rate vs. prior efforts) and an RFM process rebuilt on standard deviations across more categories (record-breaking engagement; the client now funds the study every campaign) - and tunes variable weighting to catch over- and under-weighted inputs.
  • Co-built and maintains a client-facing data portal - self-service exploration that replaced a slow manual request process, still in production and growing. React, TypeScript, Node, Python, Snowflake, Vercel.
  • Rebuilt the core SAS/VBA report shell: automated the white-labeling that had been done by hand, added versioning, conditional logic, and exception handling, and consolidated three separately-maintained versions into one data-driven shell.
  • Team's mapping lead - automated per-run maps in PDF output, drive-time measurement, and Huff-model competitor analysis.
  • Replaced a client's manual copy/paste selection workflow with a BigQuery-backed tool giving them instant feedback and control over their own parameters.
  • Learned enough R in a day to validate a client's scoring model against their internal testing (same-day turnaround vs. weeks from other vendors); moved another client off straight-selects onto modeling, expanding a multi-territory win into all franchises plus a full-year budget.

Advanced / Personal & Business Planning Analyst

Jan 2013 – Sep 2016

Northwestern Mutual

  • Ran product design for most agents in-office and taught financial product and plan design to senior advisors.
  • Built Personal Financial Plans - Social Security projections, amortization schedules, scenario modeling.

Director of District Reporting & Training

Jan 2011 – Jan 2013

Northwestern Mutual

  • Rebuilt new-agent production tracking end to end - VBA macros and dashboards giving agents real-time visibility into daily, weekly, and monthly goals - and owned the new-hire curriculum.

Associate Representative

May 2008 – Jan 2011

Northwestern Mutual

  • Broke the agency record for applications submitted with zero errors by a single representative.
  • Earned a life & health insurance license, then FINRA Series 6, 63, and 7; promoted to associate representative, signing contracts with clients.
Billing → Customer Service → Retention Specialist, GEICO Nov 2006 – Apr 2008

Promoted twice in under two years onto a small team handling the hardest retention calls; earned a property & casualty license.

Nature Center Attendant, Ocean Lakes Family Campground Jun 2006 – Aug 2006

Rebuilt the inventory ordering process; wrote a plain-language fossil ID guide and ran daily wildlife trainings.
